Aspects of a good workout routine
The most important part of a good workout routine is taking action. You can have the greatest, most well-balanced workout routine in front of you, but if you do not use it and stick to then you might as well throw it away. Another extremely important aspect for a good workout routine is knowledge. You need to know when to work out the correct way to perform the workout at hand, and what needs to be done by following your workout routine.
When To Work Out
This is not the most important aspect for a good workout routine, but it will definitely play a factor in the result that you get. A good time to work out is in the morning, because it's going to force an early start to burn calories throughout the day. A lot of times if you put your workout later in the day, you will have more of a chance to make an excuse for why you do not want to do it. You never want to workout right after a big meal. This could lead to discomfort and you will get results much less than if you did the same workout on an empty stomach. If your body does not have food in your stomach will be forced to find its source of energy elsewhere, which will lead to it using the fat reserves to fuel your work out.
Warming Up
A good workout routine always include a good warm-up session. Focus mainly on muscle groups that you will use during your workout, but you still want to heat the whole body. Make sure that you stretch properly and slowly increase your heart rate as you do not want to start an intense workout routine with tense muscles. Not properly stretching is the easiest way to cause the body to get hurt especially when lifting weights.
After the training
Another part of a workout routine is a good cool-down period. Once the workout is over, you want to allow your heart rate to decrease slowly and return to a normal rate. You do not want to just stop working and go to sit down or your body will be more susceptible to cramps, and little comfort. Once again, just as part of your pre-workout routine, you will also need to be sure to properly stretch after your workout. Stretching post workout is the most ideal time to stretch your muscles, because they are already loose and warmed up. While stretching, trying to hold each stretch for 10-20 seconds. You do not want to bounce, or pulse while stretching as it may cause injury.
The foods you eat after exercise also play a key role in the overall results of training. After a good workout routine that you want to try to eat things that are high in protein, or even have a protein shake so that your body can immediately start to rebuild and recover his tired muscles. After a good session of cardio, you want to try to wait at least half an hour to eat so that your body can maximize the burning of fat using stored fat as an energy source.
Other tips to get the most out of a good workout routine
The most important thing you can do during a good workout program, you stay hydrated. Not having enough fluids in your body can cause fatigue faster, get cramps, and prevent your body from getting the most out of your hard work. A rule of thumb is that if your workout lasts longer than 30 minutes you can include a sports drink to keep your body begin to use muscle as an energy source, usually this will happen in the long run or other cardio exercise.
A good workout routine will also include plenty of rest. If you are doing moderately intense workout you can perform more frequently if you are doing extremely intense workouts. Your body needs plenty of rest to recover and rebuild his muscles before using them again to ensure your getting the most from your workout.
